Good morning all just a quick question for you all.

How can I make it so when a user clicks a link to my website from say a social networking site, they visit the first post/page in the thread rather than the very last?

For example if I post a 4 page thread to my Facebook, the user who clicks it will arrive on page 4 at the very last post. How can I make it so they arrive at page 1?

I am not sure if I understand your problem correctly.

Why don't you link the 1st page of that 4-page thread? Then they will land on the first page and see the first post.

Like:

https://xenforo.com/community/threads/whats-new-in-xenforo-2-0.133426/
instead of
https://xenforo.com/community/threads/whats-new-in-xenforo-2-0.133426/page-4

Even if I link the URL from the first page in the URL it seems to direct everyone to the last post on the last page.
