Cannot reproduce Issue with PM / conversations

We are experiencing the same issue as reported here:

The replies on PMs / conversations are suddenly not visible.

We have the latest version installed and we have tried rebuilding the conversations, after which the problem was resolved for a short while but reverted back after some hours...

Realistically, we'd need the ability to reproduce this, especially as there was a related bug that has been fixed (which should basically prevent this from being possible).

Most significantly, we'd need to take add-ons out of the equation so we'd need to confirm that the issue happens with them disabled. Can you reproduce it like that? (If you can't disable add-ons, you might need to see if it's reproducible in a test environment with add-ons disabled.)
