Well this is actually a side conversation, and it can get very annoying in a large thread when people go off on tangents.

It is also not a thread ABOUT vBulletin, it is about how much self harm Internet Brands has caused with the lawsuits against Xenforo.

I think it is a highly relevant discussion, as opposed to all the...

"vBulletin is down"
"I got banned from vBorg"
"what's up with vBulletin doing xyz"

etc etc etc Threads we have to endure.

Tedious, wouldn't be what I'd associate this thread but rather inconsistencies forming when other threads are quickly closed. It's essentially a bashing thread since xenforo is being sued by internet brands, peoples live-hoods at stake so it's very much relevant to the court case thread. I suspect, that the thread at some point will become heated which is why it's not in with the other thread.

I am sure that management will be keeping a close eye on it, and if it steps over the line it is doomed to be closed too.

Hopefully we can have a mature discussion about this subject without too much bashing going on... it is an interesting discussion, one worth pursuing I think.

already some good points have been made, like that of most Admins being blissfully ignorant of the situation, it's easy to forget that when you are quite caught up in what is going on here and in forum software world.. most people don't of course give a dang about it.. but I for one had forgotten that.

I want to see what else of interest this subject might raise that I hadn't considered, or had overlooked.

The thread will die a natural death if no one else is interested.

I don't think they are ignorant of the situation, they just want to forget about it and stop living in the past focusing on the future.

Like most things that happen, right now this is a talked about topic, sort off. But give it a few weeks to a month and it will be pretty much forgotten about. Damage to VBS will be very short term only, if any damage has been done at all? There no longer seems to be the same type of coverage happening with Internet Brands anymore like before when the BBC News and other large News Websites covered stuff about them. And people we're running around the web setting up sites to call them and discus them on hundreds of other forums. All that's died off now really.

People have just got fed up of hyping on about them and moved on. VBS are no longer flavour of the month worth talking about it seems to me, even this thread has only managed to crawl it's way to 3 pages long and considering what it's about that's surprising.

One or two people have already said they're getting sick of reading topic after topic about VBS being posted here I've noticed. To be honest, I've thought the same thing myself a few times lately and think you need to be careful that XenForo doesn't start being seen as a place were bashing VBS is acceptable with threads keep being posted all the time about them on a regular basis each week, otherwise it might start backfiring on you at some point soon.
