Is it possible to create a professional sales site with XenForo?

I was wondering, because I am seriously considering XenForo, and adapting it to a CMS kind of site. Thing is, I am planning on offering services through the site, so I was wondering if it would be possible to set up XenForo in that way, a kind of "commerce" system?

I do not think so, but just wondering. I just hate having different software (like ZenCart) that don't match in looks.

EDIT: Kind of like how the XenForo site has seemless integration with their purchasing page and the cart and everything. I don't need something extremely extravagant, something like that would certainly work. :)

There is a module to create custom web pages in Xenforo if that is what you are asking.
I have read about that already, thanks for the link. How "powerful" would you consider the page node in XenForo to be? I have come to understand, (as stated in the article), that such functionality is not representative of a CMS, far from it, it is to create basic pages. While a basic page is still perfect for me (seeing how I want my homepage to be a static page, maybe with some AJAX pulling from the forums in certain categories), creating a custom page in order to purchase services may be out of the scope of XenForo. That is what I am trying to determine really.

I guess a better question would be, does the XenForo site use XenForo to manage their product purchase page, or did they custom code it themselves and wrapped it in the XenForo-like theme?

Okay, I'm wading in here because it can be done:

Site: http://www.secretcitydesigns.com
Forum: http://www.secretcitydesigns.com/forum/
Shop (using Zencart): http://www.secretcitydesigns.com/shop/

The reason my shop is not connected to my site is that it is not live. I had surgery last week and am still recovering. Once I am back up to speed, I'll have the shop connected to the site.

Pages can be as simple or as complex as you like, if you utilise the PHP callback functionality.
Thank you guys for the responses, if I could +REP you guys I would, I promise! :)

I will check out some things, though I am definitely leaning towards getting XenForo. Is there an online help base detailing these PHP callback functionality good sir?

Lastly, I read that once XenForo is released, plugins will be paid? What exactly does that mean?

I never said it couldn't be done, but you're site has three different themes that, while looking similar, is not what I am trying to achieve. I am going for a seemless look on all parts on the website, from the forum to the shop, to even the front page, you get me?

See the "like" in the bottom right next to the reply on each post? That's our "rep" system, LOL. Brogan has a great tut on pages along with Mike's excellent explaniation
Nope, most add-ons will be free.

The 12-month extension provides access to support and updates for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please note that your license must be up-to-date to access certain licensed customer areas, such as ticket support.

Extensions will be available for purchase soon after a stable version is released.
Click on Buy XenForo, then click on the link that says details near the top, after the description of purchasing a license. The line I am referring too is the last one. :)

Here are some simple Pages from my site so you can see how they look and feel exactly as the rest of the forum:
http://www.cliptheapex.com/community/pages/home/
http://www.cliptheapex.com/community/pages/circuits/
http://www.cliptheapex.com/community/pages/bahrain-international-circuit/

These are all done with basic HTML & CSS so once you throw PHP into the mix...
Wow, you are right. This is all done in the XenForo wrapper too I see, using the XenForo breadcrumbs too. I'll have to look around some more, but very nice! Now I guess I would have to learn up on some code to effectively create my own shop-like system within the XenForo header and footer, yes? I just want a seemless experience, in my opinion there's nothing more jarring to a potential customer or user than a site that changes from one style to another (like going from a 'forum-based' experience to a wordpress experience).

The extensions refers to the 12 months support for updates, not plugins.
Ah, I guess I read 'extensions' as another word for plugins, I apologize for the mistake. :(

Using the same background? The same header for two of them, yes I changed the header slightly for the shop but used the same font, same style.
Oh well, considering it's three different software packages I think I did rather well getting the three looking good together.

I hope I didn't come across critiquing your website or putting it down, I was not aiming for that. The fact that you're using three different softwares and managed them to look similar is a great feat in itself, that is exactly what I am trying to avoid. I'd rather just use XenForo as a stop-all solution, and I am not afraid to get a little dirty doing so, I just want to make sure it's possible before splurging. :)

Thanks again for all the replies, you guys are great. :D
