IPS 4.2 -> XenForo and doubt regarding BBCodes.

Hello,

My name is Criseg,
I have a forum of hundreds of topics and users, and i'm currently having issues with Invision Power products. In fact, every time I need to fix something (which sometimes involves unsupported things such as the one I'm about to comment), I keep thinking on moving to another software.

Now, hear me out: I've already read I can import from IPS 4.2 to XenForo with the 1.x version of the software. However, here's the problem: my community has old, dead BBCode that neither IP.Board 3.4 or IPS 4.x.x ever converted. In the database, they look like [ img]
[/ img] and [ b][/ b], along with <img src='x' class='ipsImage' />.

Question is: when importing IPS 4.2 data, is it possible to also convert BBCode into whatever format XenForo uses?

I wasn’t aware that the old IPS version BB code never got updated, but, you’re right we only convert the modern style to our BB code.

Though of the two examples you gave, the img and b ones, they match our BB codes anyway so they should come over ok.

For anything else you can fix things up after the import using the Post Content Find and Replace add-on we have in the Resource Manager.
