iPad Mini

One reason to buy an iPad is the amazing Retina Display.
I also think it just feels more responsive .... I don't think i've heard any Android version that matches Apple's smoothness boom.

Eh, I use my iPad 3gen and Nexus 7 daily, and both are comparable when it comes to UI responsiveness. It's pretty much a solved problem as of 4.1, with stock Android at least.

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articles/11949/20121018/lg-nexus-android-4-2-lime.htm 4.2 should make Android even better, can't wait. There are going to be a bunch of performance enhancements(hopefully) as well as better security(I believe SEAndroid is coming.) Guess we'll just have to wait for the official announcement though.

Just read

According to our sources, the base model of the smaller iPad will likely be priced at a minimum of $329 in the United States.

Two higher capacities of the smaller iPad will be available in the WiFi-only configuration. These will likely be priced at $100 premiums over each other at a minimum of $429 and $529.
It is possible that this base price for the smaller iPad could be higher, but our best guess is $329.
For me the price point for a 7" tablet is $250.
I couldn't justify spending any more.
I'm sure they will fly off the shelves regardless.

Yeah, 4.2 contains SELinux. They're supposedly launching a 10-inch tablet, as well. It'll be interesting to see what all they have to announce at the event.
