I linked to this post, but the text about a free trial was actually a different post I made in that thread.

Unfurl data comes from the metadata of the thread. Specifically it will be from the first post of the thread page being linked to. We just simply don’t attempt to extract post specific metadata. If the URL ultimately redirects to a position somewhere in a thread it is the thread metadata that is extracted.
