XF 1.5 Installation Help

So I recently installed xenforo onto a new box and I have an issue, not sure if I have to re-do the installation. First time doing this.

You have to connect to website: http://castlemc.com/xenforo/upload/index.php

It states: The primary URL to your board. Do not include a trailing "/" or "index.php". The URL should look similar to this: http://www.example.com/forum

How do I make it so they just have to connect to http://www.castlemc.com/forum

Move the files from /xenforo/upload into /forum

Then login to your Admin CP and update the URL:

Admin CP -> Home -> Options -> Basic Board Information -> Board URL

Another question, what am I doing wrong in terms of making home page make? http://castlemc.com/forum/ works fine, but when I click home, members, or the forum itself it leads to a broken page.

You have friendly URLs enabled but the needed rewrite rules are not working.

Make sure you rename "htaccess.txt" to ".htaccess"

Ah I see, I proceeded with that, here is my config: http://pastebin.com/nvC5TJsg Home page, members, and what not still lead to a blank page:

The requested URL /forum/members/ was not found on this server.

or

It works!
This is the default web page for this server.

The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet.

Alright got it to work, but when I go to the home page it takes me to castlemc.com/forums not castlemc.com. Castlemc.com is still is a broken website and in order for me to use a home webpage I use xenporta but that uses castlemc.com/forums as a website and castle.com/forums/forums as the forums.

Should be my last question in a while, appreciate the assistance

It sounds like you mean to move XenForo to the web root instead of a subdirectory. I think that is what you want.

This is quite difficult. I did that and all works well..except now castlemc.com aka home page states:

If I turn friendly off home page works fine with the indexphp at the end.

Ultimately something like this is usually down to a server configuration error.

What's the current URLs of the site?

Sorted It had something do with my hosts name file.
