XF 2.0 Install build config problem v2. 09

Hi,

I'm having an issue installing the software properly on v2. 09.

Yesterday I could install v1. 5. 13 but login in wouldn't work so I updated my license to get v2.

I have entered in the sql information on the install, and when I save it pops up with this error, I took a picture and attached the error. If you could help that would be great.

Iv used different browsers, different devices, iv done all the different suggestions in browser. Nothing works, so I know it's an internal issue, either my server or a config setting.

Thank you

Is its not the browser settings, iv done all changes back and forth, using different devices, different browsers. The error on 1.5 wasn't showing as an error, I would type login details, and press sign in and the page would refresh, but my browser would pop up saying save password to site, but the page would just refresh back to an empty sign in form.

Thank you

But what ever it is, it's preventing 2 versions from working properly, v1 sign in doesn't work in both main and admin login template, sign up doesn't work either, so I purchased v2 and that error shown on my picture comes up

I've located an XF 2.0.9 installation so that suggests you must have managed to get it installed somehow?

But I can confirm that when I click "Log in" on the front end I get an error about cookies.

When a new session is created in XF2 two cookies should be set on a user's machine. They are xf_csrf and xf_session.

Without one or more of these cookies, the software won't function correctly.

On your site, these cookies are not being set, at all:

Interestingly, if you go to your site, but with using https:// rather than http:// then you do get the cookies set:

But your site isn't currently configured correctly for HTTPS so that would need to be addressed (would need an SSL certificate and further web server configuration).

But, hopefully, you will be able to feed that back to your host. Perhaps it will steer them in the right direction of being able to sort this out for you. If they can't, then we'd just recommend finding a new host.

I would hope so, but the problem would still exist, technically. Ideally you'd want to get it working on HTTP first so you can be sure that whatever the cause of that is, doesn't come back to haunt you down the line.

I can assure you that we will always attempt to create a cookie, regardless of which http protocol is used:

So there's something on the server side which is preventing the cookie from being set.

I'm on the forum using https although it's not properly functioning, is there any settings in the admin panel on xenforo I can access to stop this from happening on http or is this now a strictly server related problem? Thank you
