XF 2.2 Install App Not Working?

I noticed that my forum offers a button in the navigational menu that says, "Install the app [Install]". When I attempt to click the install button, it highlights the button but nothing happens. What can I do to fix this or remove it altogether?

That feature isn't there to remove it.

But I don't think there is an option to "disable" PWA. Most likely if you remove the settings from that page, it simply won't "enable" the feature.

Personally... if going the template edit route I'd do a TMS modification to allow it to be enabled/disabled easily instead of directly modifying the template.

It's uncomfortable that this is how you have to do it. This is something I haven't asked for but the developers do what they want.

My forum is having this same issue but I'd rather not disable PWA? Why is this happening? It seems to be exclusively iPhone users.

I found this thread but think it's unrelated as op posted a year ago and not all the users I've mentioned are from Europe and some don't have ios 17.4

It confused me at first. The install button does not start an install but it does start (In the background) a little video on how to set up pwa.

That feature isn't there to remove it.

If you take out any of the prerequisites the install button won't show up.

To remove "Install the app [Install]" search for the code below lines and comment out these two lines of code
