As designed Incorrect ban duration in the ACP

The ban duration in the ACP is incorrectly showing as never/permanent, despite the ban being temporary.

The warning action is set to ban while at or above the points threshold.
Two custom warnings were issued - 2 points, 1 day and 8 points 1 day.
Which should ban the member for 1 day.

This is intentional. The value shown to the user is actually calculated based on their warning statuses on demand. This means if they receive an additional warning, have a warning expire or have the expiry date of the warning change, they will automatically receive the updated date. Because of these possibilities, the ban is entered as permanent to ensure that the warning system itself is the one that causes it to expire.

Would be more accurate, then, for "never" to say something that means "See warnings" or something that is otherwise less specific (blank, even). In such a case as this, never is an explicit statement that is actually misleading.

Totally agree with Harpers Tate... even if it is as designed it looks buggy.

I also agree, this is very confusing. It should display the correct value.
