XF 1.4 inconsistent table prefix

After taking a look at my database table I noticed that some add-ons do use the table prefix and some don't.
For example, the forum and the resource manager is using the 'xf_' table prefix whereas the xengallery and also all 3rd party add-ons do not use the 'xf_' prefix.

Here is my question. Will this inconsistent table prefix use at some point break the forum or cause errors or should I not worry about it?

It's nothing to worry about.

Ideally all tables should be prefixed with xf_ and then the add-on developers prefix, but it's not essential.

The main benefit is it will delete those tables when doing a reinstall.

Personally I prefer not to prefix mine with xf_ so they are easier to locate.
