Include full message text in watched thread/forum notification emails?

How do you set this option and why:

Include full message text in watched thread/forum notification emails.

I've turned it off for the longest time for the following reasons:

1. I want to entice users to come back to visit the forum itself and not be content with simply reading a response by email.
2. I want to avoid getting into spam traps because some response contains profanity or some word or combination of words that triggers a spam trap. I have no control over that.

What are your thoughts and experiences?

No... why? It forces users to your site to read, which turns them into a statistic to possibly post again versus do nothing reading email content only.

No, for security of information passed in the clear over email. My users want security.

And as Anyhony said, makes them come back to read.

And, keeps the less technical from replying to the emails thinking they were either posting or replying to a Convo... I used to get 30+ a week

Yer... hated that. Get an email responding to someones PC / content.

That's the first reason we stopped showing content in emails. Was a mess... I was getting extremely personal responses to my inbox.
