XF 2.1 Import vB4.25 to xF2.1.4?

Hi Guys -

I am in the process of migrating over our vB4.25 installation to xF2.1.4 -- and would like to confirm that it is a viable import path as I just read in the xF2.0 manual that would need to do the import at xF1.5 and then upgrade rather than do a straight import (as the manual appears to be dated).

Could anyone confirm that there is a direct import path from vB4.25 to xF2.1.4?

Thanks,

Excellent! I was hoping to keep this as simple as possible.

Ok - I am doing a new clean xF2.14 install now and then will back it up once complete with add-ons, etc.

Thanks for your help.

Because right now we're on vB 4.25 which has a lower PHP requirement (5.56?) - so I can't get to the current xF version until I beyond xF2.1.4 and can go to a higher PHP version...

Well, in that case (Brogan) - I'll have to review the requirements and confirm.

I know that the test version of xF2.1.4 that I installed has the warning about using the lowest allowable version of PHP - so that was the basis of my comment as I know I authorized a roll back to the lower version with our host.

I'll check on this and advise.

Also - I attempted this the other day, and it got only to 35% (below) before hanging.

Do either of you know where I can find the log which might point to the location of the issue?

Thanks,

Disregard - I figured it out - I was shoving all the graphic elements through it (all the attachments, avatars, blog attachments, etc). Once I decoupled that, the transfer went right through... Onward!
