XF 2.0 Import of a VB4 into an existing xenforo DB?

Hello, We already have an existing xenforo installation with several thousand posts and users. Now another forum would like to be added to ours. Is it possible to migrate a VB 4.2.x version to an existing database and a separate forum area?

Yes, you can import into an existing XF site.

I'm not sure what you mean by a separate forum area though.
Importing will merge all of the members, forums, threads, posts, etc. into one database and forum.

I mean that all threads and subforums are inserted in one category, analogous to the categories here: "Public forums, xenforo bug reports, etc. Is that possible? Or is the existing VB structure simply added to the existing xenforo structure?

The existing structure is copied across.

You can easily rearrange the categories and forums afterwards.
