MG 2.3 Images and iOS

Is anyone experiencing issues with iOS users not being able to access the full image in a media album?

I have users, myself included, that cannot open images from media albums when using their iPhone, and iPad, but can with windows and android devices.

I have cleared xfmg caches, no change. Opened ticket with host provider who states that they cannot find a problem.

So I am stumped and looking for ideas, help. There is one thing that comes to mind is capturing any errors on loading the image in the iOS/safari environment, I just don’t have the resources to do that.

Below is one example of the album/images. The strange part is that they see the album image, and the icon images in the album, but images don’t show when selected. Most or all images are jpeg.

This has been resolved by uploading a previous backup. Not sure if some files or URLs got corrupted/didn’t update when I transferred from the previous URL but all is well.

Do you think it was some sort of caching thing where part of the page (e.g. scripts) that were cached were not matching another part of page that was also cached independently? Are you a Cloudflare user?

it has nothing to do with XenForo. I had a same problem in other platform, you must check Cloudflare options Caching & Network
Thanks, I did rule out a few things, Xenforo being one, but I never thought of Cloudflare. It makes sense as it acted like a caching issue. I will have to remember this.

Annoyingly short editing timeframes here at xenforo.com
Ease of moderation > quality of information.

chit chat data structures = poor information density = google ignore.

Hopefully 3.0 takes information seriously.

From what I can find, the images in question somehow became corrupt. I have since replaced the photos with replacements and all is working now. Fortunately, it was only a few photos in the one album. I don't know how this occurred, but I did rule out server software, forum software, third-party add-ons, and any cache that I could think of.
