XF 2.3 Image URL

When I upload an image to a topic, I would like to get the url and reuse that image in another topic without having to upload a new file (to save server storage). Is it possible for a regular user to do this to avoid duplicating files when we need to use an image from another topic?

This is correct. If it’s attached in forum 1 and embedded in forum 2, it will not show if user has permissions to view forum 2 but not forum 1.

I always just right click on the original to get the URL from “copy image address” in order to embed in another forum.

But be careful it’s easy to lose track and delete the original attachment or post forgetting it’s embedded somewhere else.

I copied the URL from image and set in "Insert image" on comment settings. It worked. Thanks!
