I assume the release was patched since I have not seen complaints about this since, and yes, it should have been announced as a PL release so those that had the issue weren't finding out this way.
js/xf/attachment_manager-compiled.js
file, which should resolve this. You'll want to rebuild the master data and/or clear your browser cache to pick up the changes, too.I just experienced this issue after a long overdue upgrade. I applied this patch but it seems to not have helped. Although it is one user being affected (so far), I can't exactly argue the "well it worked before" claim which does appear to be the case.I don't believe it's fixed in the actual release, but I haven't confirmed. I'd expect there would've been an announcement if it were. You could probably download the latest XF and compare the appropriate file with the patch that @Jeremy P posted here:
I've attached a patch, you'll need to unzip it and replace the enclosedjs/xf/attachment_manager-compiled.js
file, which should resolve this. You'll want to rebuild the master data and/or clear your browser cache to pick up the changes, too.
This.just take effect for new uploads?
No.Has an official patch been released?
How do I patch this for Xenforo cloud? Or did the fix get applied behind the scenes? Some users have reported this as issue, and some have resolved, while others haven't. Could it be due to some refreshing their browser cache and others haven't?
The patch was applied to Cloud weeks ago - you don't need to do anything.
The fix does not retroactively apply to images which have already been uploaded.
Probably.
