Our users are asking for full size images, thumbnails and references. All of these are available to the person posting the image/attachment but this request is to control the viewer's display with a user option.
Is it possible to create such an option?
I would like a user selectable option for image display that would have options like Thumbnail Only, and Reference Only and perhaps As Posted to leave the behavior unchanged, which would be the default.
The expectation would be that the location of the image in the body of the message would remain the same and possibly that lightbox handling would be the same as with thumbnails currently.
My expectation is that the option would be queried when a message was loaded. Full images would be converted to the form selected in the option as would thumbnails if the selected option was to show a reference.
