XF 1.4 If I delete a category I delete all posts?

Hi, I'm doing my first tests with XenForo and I have a question. Yesterday I did two imports from mybb, then I went to control panel to remove some duplicate categories and subforums. In the main forum I cant see those deleted subforums and posts, but stats showed all user posts (including posts supposedly deleted). So I have a doubt I actually deleted those posts in the database or are still there in the db even though the posts are not displayed in the forum.?

How I can erase all the posts in a category or subforum?

Yes, there are many ways, but I would suggest either highlighting them manually and then deleting them all at once, or using this addon. This would be very helpful: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/sonnb-messages-mass-actions.824/

If you delete a forum, all threads in it are deleted. You have a choice with what happens to nodes under it.

You can also delete all threads in a forum using the batch thread update tool.

Note that the board total counters are cached for a period of time.
