I forgot my password slow email delivery

I am sending a password reset e-mail with the forgot password button. The email comes in 8 minutes. Isn't that a very long time? How can I fix this situation?

XF sends that email immediately at which point it is no longer in our hands.

Slow delivery would usually be related to whatever method is used to send the email - in XF this is usually built-in sendmail or SMTP. You'll need to ascertain how your emails are sent and then seek support from whoever supports that in order to troubleshoot why the email delivery is slow.

Do you mean your hosting company?

Yes or if you use a third party SMTP server then it will be them.

Probably start with your hosting company if you're not aware of a specific outgoing mail setup.
