A new solution for linking the forum usernames/accounts to customer accounts would be great. It'd certainly save you guys a lot of support time and pointless question threads to answer. Surely this can be easier (unfortunately not as easy as others following instructions, but sometimes - not everything is as simple as that..)

It really doesn’t cause much of an issue and it is already mostly automatic if the forum account email matches the customer account email.
