Hey I am going to buy Hawkhost to install xenForo on but I am not sure which type to buy.
The choices that it gave me are:

    shared hosting
    reseller hosting
    virtual private servers
    ssl certificates
    domain registration

If I were you I would start with shared hosting. Then as the time goes by and if your forum outgrows that then start looking to upgrade it to a vps/dedicated box.

I love hawkhost used them for 2 years going on my third. You can find a 50% off coupon on webhostingtalk.com (i think its still there) it'll get you 50% off the first bill I prepaid for a year at the basic was only 18. Price goes up after first year, also there support is friendly and quick too ;)

We use http://www.HawkHost.com for our file hosting (attachments and such).

For our needs we ended up simply buying their resell plan. This gave us the option to generate accounts and domain names at will (great for other projects).

$189 for the year was not a bad deal at all. With their current special of 25% off (coupon code: rseptember2012 ) it comes down to $142 for the year at Hawk Host

You can report it if you'd like, if it's not they can remove it.

Pretty sure it is. I've reported one or two in the past and was told it's allowed.

    Affiliate links removed.

It is not in good taste to hide affiliate links behind words and not inform people that it is an affiliate link.

No problem. I'll remember that in the future.

(Although I did note that it was an affiliate link).

    For clarification.

www.someurl.com/affiliateid=123 would be acceptable as it is obvious it is an affiliate link, so people have the option to click it or not.

Click my link where the url is hiden behind the text however is not.
