Fixed HUAWEI EXIF reporting/read bug?

The fix we've put in place for this would now render that as 1/800 so no need for further reports.

This may be incorrect, though, as some mechanical shutters (and if not all electronic) can snap photos at 1/8000.

@thomas1, can you confirm whether this was shot at 1/800 or 1/8000? If the latter, it does need to be examined.

Only asking this because it's at f/14 and there would need to be some heavy light for a 1/800 shot...

Chris was right, the actual shutter speed was 1/800. The shortest exposure time of the D750 is 1/4000.

Even if it actually was 1/8000 then why would writing the metadata as 10/8000 ever make sense? This would again just boil down to something that we have to accept as us simply having to work with what the metadata gives us.

Right, it was a wide-angle shot against the sun.
