Is it possible using htaccess to redirect traffic from external links that are pointed at our previous forum software to the same content on our XF forums?
As an example:
External link to old forum: //www.maggotdrowning.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=thread number
Link to same content on XF forum: //www.maggotdrowning.com/forums/index.php?threads/thread number/
Likewise
External link to old forum: //www.maggotdrowning.com/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=thread number
Link to same content on XF forum: //www.maggotdrowning.com/forums/index.php?threads/thread number/
It is the parts in Red that would need to be altered to that in Green, effectively putting a filter in place that converts the part in Red to that in Green when a user follows an old link.
Either that or suggestions for any other way of going about it would be appreciated
Thanks
