How to use email user without getting blacklisted

So I have a couple of forums that I'd like to send email blasts to but after trying it out on a couple of my smaller ones (approx 2k members) my servers' emails got banned by Microsoft emails (hotmail, live, outlook).

After a couple days my server is now unblocked but I'm afraid to continue with my bigger forums...

Is there anyone I can do this without getting blacklisted by Microsoft?

If you do get blocked, just fill out the bulk emails senders form to be white listed. Each major email service provider has such a form, it's only required once for each domain.

However what Chris indicated about bounce email handling is also very important.

But doesn't that mean I'd need to send atleast one email to each member before it auto bounces them? Meaning it doesn't help now if I want to mass email now right?

Well you do need to send email to know whether the email bounces.

Otherwise, you need to go through all your bounce logs manually to find the user they apply to and change their user state to indicate that.

And to top it off... with MS, even if the emails don't bounce - if to many users mark it as spam (instead of simply deleting it or doing a filter to auto-delete any of them) guess what happens also. You get blacklisted.
