How to train staff on moderation and spam cleaning?

When bringing on new staff as moderators they don't know the XenForo product. Any good resources on training staff to be a moderator using XF 2 or later?

In my opinion XenForo should have an area of the documentation for the moderation functionality outlined. How to's with member approval, spam cleaning, handling threads via the moderation controls, etc.

I disagree.

Training the moderators is one of the core things for you to do as an admin; additionally many forums handle moderation in differenz ways, so having a Xenforo video/ressource showing how to moderate a thread would confuse your mods for all parts that are handled differently than in your forum.

We mostly do this. Doing a video properly takes a fair bit of work. Having some moderation documentation posted as posts or attached files is more feasible for most of us.

Even a basic word document, that we could download and then edit as to our own needs
