RM 1.2 How to sort/display resources by date?

How can I change the sort order/ display order of resources by date, so the resources with

a) the newest comments/ratings are on the top?
b) the newly added resources are on top?

unfortunately this is for XF2 only. I still use XF1.5x for a couple of months....

The default sort order is the resource's creation or last update date. You can change this via the "Default Resource List Order".

Reviews simply don't bump resources and that's not how the RM is designed. There is no sorting by this. The closest is the latest reviews page.
