Hello, I'd like to ask if there is a setting that disables the user's ability to delete their own profile post / status feed?

Have you checked usergroup permissions? I can't recall for certain as I no longer host a xenforo 1.5 board however it's worth checking as I believe there may be one.

Yup we checked it out but we cannot find the option.
EDIT:
Sorry, it seems we somehow missed this. I'll test it out and see if it fixes our issue.

In Xenforo 2 it's called "delete own profile posts" and is a permission setting under profile post permissions. If the feature is not in Xenforo 1.5 then I'm not sure.

Okay, we seem to have found the problem.
If we set it to Not Set (No), it doesn't work. We have to set it to Never for it to work as intended.

If the members are in any other user groups with that permissions set to yes, that is why never is required.
Yes + no = yes
Yes + never = no

The members have no other user group with permissions that change them from the default gray option. That's why we were stuck on it for so long.
