XF 2.2 How to make forum transparent

I've come across the occasional post on this topic but they didn't seem to completely cover things or go into detail much. So how would I make the forum pages transparent, so a background photo shows through please? This is just for a temporary thing - to add a background photo on certain occasions. Then go back to the standard background.

Errr...why would you ever want to have a background over-ride the actual site and block all visibility of your actual content?
You can make the blocks opaque to show the background, but it involves multiple CSS vectors, all of which can be found in the browser inspection tools.

I probably meant opaque Wrong terminology. I don't understand what you mean by css vectors in browser inspection tools. The thread I came across was this one - but I found some of it confusing . And it's a very old thread so will be from a different XF version.

Transparent Style

Not sure if this is in the right section, but is it possible to make transparent background / tables? Take a look at this forum http://anim.tv/index.php? I would like to make a style like that, is that possible?

Although certain blocks being opaque might work well.
