XF 1.5 How to make a "Best of" forum?

I run a classic car forum and some of the members post their restoration projects in a "Restorations and projects" forum. Is there a way to select the "best of" threads and copy them into a different forum or make a list of some kind? I have a manual list right now but we all know that sucks to maintain. It would be nice to have a forum that only has threads in it that moderators choose. It could be a "read only" type forum that's a copy of the live forum maybe?

I actually have that on my forum but was using it as a "garage" for each user to show off their ride. To be honest I haven't looked into all of it's features and configurations. The demographics of my forum are, let's say, older and not as tech savvy as others so I like to keep it as simple as possible. I'll spend some time with it...

A discussion thread can be automatically created when a Showcase Item is created (and/or link existing Showcase Items to existing threads). And you can feature showcase items, as well as integrating Showcase featured items into your Forum homepage. Play with it more, and you'll find it does exactly what you ask, and more! Eg. https://netrider.net.au/forum/ you can see how I have Showcase as a slider at the top of the forums list.
