XF 2.0 How to extends preDispatch function in XF\Mvc\Controller ?

Hello,

I would like to apply a method like assertNotBanned(), for that I would like to extend the preDispatch function ($action, ParameterBag $params) of XF\Mvc\Controller but it doesn't work via the system provided for in the ACP.

Do you have any idea?
