XF 1.1 How to disable this frustrating special characters link madness?

The title is pretty mad i'm aware of it.

As @Mike said about how designed it is when we paste links that include characters like á ã ú, common in some languages in other places from our Xenforo...

I get a bit frustrated because when trying to use the share functions in twitter, etc... That special characters are converted from "música" to "m%C3%BAsica", and for me it simply doesn't look clean, and it gives me work to edit the link and replace that result back into "música".

I ask, is there something to make this work correctly or some suggestion? Or do like many scripts, cut-off the letters with this special characters? :)

Thanks.

In 1.2, you can force all URLs to be "Romanized" so accents are stripped and characters are converted to basic A-Z characters. Then you won't run into the issue.

Otherwise, this is fundamentally how URLs work. Here's one for a Wikipedia article: http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/美国诉黄金德案 (http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%BE%8E%E5%9B%BD%E8%AF%89%E9%BB%84%E9%87%91%E5%BE%B7%E6%A1%88)
Or using an English example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Résumé (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%A9sum%C3%A9)

Ah that will help! It's odd how browsers act with this, i don't see any reason for they don't be like "accents-friendly".

In all cases it converts back to the normal form on post. But in Twitter sharing a post if it shows that "code" it won't convert it on post and shows the link that way.

Why do you have no idea it exists? Have you lost the ability to see what's on your screen?
The search is right there. On every page :p
Not quite the search, many times in the forum help requests i see replies of features there is no way info about, like for example, be possible to sort RSS feeds by time, etc... to get new topics instead of recent topics. :cautious:
