How to create a redirect (or route) to a specific forum?

I have a forum that I want to shorten the link to, for example:

Destination forum:

https://rvforums.com/forums/newmar/

Link I want to create:

https://rvforums.com/newmar

How can I do this within XF 2.x (latest version)?

I am running on Windows Server 2019 but want to know if you can create these mappings in XF so I can put a shorter URL on a flyer so people don't have to remember to insert "forums" in the link.

AFAIK you cannot lose the /forums/ but using route filters you could change it to something very short e.g.

https://rvforums.com/-/newmar

You can't remove routes en masse for all content, but you can create specific route filters and remove the route.

I'm not really trying to change all but that would nice, I just want a redirect that I can create in the system that allows me to send out a shorter URL that lands on the longer URL.

not a solution... i have a yourls install on my board to create shortened links. though i believe there are addons available that can also generate shortened links from xenforo backend itself.
