XF 1.3 How to allow empty BBCode tags?

I tried searching a bit but can't seem to find anything, is there a way to allow empty BBCode tags to be used?

As in at all, or I would need to have a mod made for it?
I have some anchor tags using my own BBCode as I used them on SMF, so moving over I would need to use them and leave them blank but they were all removed in the transfer

Okay.. so still interested in this.. it's annoying to have to add text to certain BBCodes that shouldn't even need it..

You will need an add-on to override the core functionality.

Is there no add-on that does this already? If not I suppose I will request one in the request section..
