How mobile friendly in Xenforo?

I wonder if you can provide clear answers to the mobile friendliness of this software.

1) Will XF auto detect whether a user is hitting a XF site and serve a responsive version of the forum?

2) If not, can XF be easily set up to do this, and what other purchases need to be made to make this happen?

Just to add, responsive design is not so much a version of the site. Responsive design is the idea that a skin/theme/design will "respond" to the dimensions of that in which it is being viewed. Therefore meaning it should actually serve better on more devices than that of a mobile theme as it effectivly turns its own skin into a mobile theme depending on the size of the window which it is being viewed on.

In addition it also means you tend to lose very little (if any) of the functionality as you sometimes do on mobile designs unless either the designer specifically hides the elements on that size screen, or the device itself is unable to support the functionality.
