How Does One Make A Transparent Fav.ico?

Hey guys,

I keep having issues when trying to make a transparent Fav.ico. When I get it to work it's really pixelated. What should I do?

I use Greenfish Icon Editor Pro for my websites. Should be pretty straight forward to understand

I did it by making an GIF image and then saving it as fav.ico in photoshop. So, if you're an avid photoshop user, do that latter option.

HOWEVER, you need to do it in the 3 different sizes, or bit size.

Thanks, I do use Photoshop quite a bit. How does one make three sizes? What is meant by this?

There are 3 different recommended fav.ico sizes, the first one is 16 x 16, second one is 32 x 32, the highest you can go is 64 x 64. A normal fav.ico has a 16 bit standard, but you can go beyond that if you do it right.
