XF 2.2 How does one make a list of users that can see a forum?

Howdy all, and thanks for viewing.

The question is, is there a way to make a list of users that can view a particular forum? Let's call this "Forum Z."

Basically, there's one forum that we need to know who can access, but there are also MANY varieties of usergroups. Some of them have permission to see it, and some don't. It's not even a commonly viewed forum, so it's not like we can just look at the Online List and copy usernames from there once they're looking at it.

For example, our list of usergroups is as follows. Groups that can see the forum are in green.

  • Registered
  • Registered+ForumZ
  • Donator A
  • Donator B
  • Donator C
    (etc)
So, there's a lot of people in the Registered+forumZ group, and those are easy to sort by, but there's HUNDREDS of these donator groups. Yes, they only have one user in each of them, but it'll take a long time to see what permissions they have individually.

Our goal is to make people reapply to ForumZ after a certain period of idleness.

It's easy to say "Post here if you can see this, because we're cleaning the forum." But that only creates a list of users that are still attentive, rather than a list of users that we're actually trying to remove access to. See the dilemma?

Thanks for your opinions!

Er... yes, I appreciate the response. That's a great way of exporting a list of users that are in usergroups, though that's not the solution.

The idea is to export a list of people with visibility access to a specific forum across multiple usergroups, when it's not known which usergroups have access to it.

So you don't know what usergroups have access to certain forum? Called usergroup permissions on that forum and would take a few minutes to find out. Otherwise you'll need an addon that would export the list.
