XF 2.1 How do you delete history of edits?

Is there a permission to delete the history of edits per thread? I'd like to keep a certain amount so they can be seen by mods/admins, but this 35000 character post I have has like 100 (didn't count) edits saved and states this at the bottom:

This content has been edited a total of 135 times. Some older edit history records have been removed.

It made me wonder if there is a limit of storage and if it can be overridden, but, I'm not finding an option to delete the history. Seems like with that 1 post alone, a lot of unnecessary storage is being used somewhere.

There isn't any option to prune a specific message's history. It's controlled by the editHistory option which defines how long logs are kept for.

I'd also like to also know this.

But I imagine you can just look for that post ID in xf_edit_history and delete that row. Maybe.

DELETE FROM `xf_edit_history` WHERE `content_type` = 'post' AND `content_id` = XXXXXXXXXXXX;

Replace XXXXX with the post ID
