XF 2.1 How do I learn more about add-on development?

The xenforo 2 documentation - https://xenforo.com/xf2-docs/dev/ -doesn't cover a lot of things, and I've read almost all of it.
Where do I learn more?

Best place is to jump into the code in the files, follow their lead, most things are commented in the files.

Yeah I learn a lot just from reading the source code. It's very easy to understand if you read it enough
