How can I add a link in the admin control panel sidebar

I would like to add a link called Search Log to the admin control panel sidebar.



The link would go into the Logs area.

Is there a way to do this? I would like to add this to my Search Log add-on.

I was able to add the link, but I'm having trouble adding the correct URL. Here's what I have now:



The URL points to:

http://www.southbayriders.com/forums/admin.php?/search/searchlog/

The problem is I need the URL to point to:

http://www.southbayriders.com/forums/search/searchlog/

Is there any way of doing this?

Admin links are meant to only point to areas within the admin CP. You'll need to write an add-on that will override and add-on.

These links are purely for admin navigation.
They aren't available in the front end.

Have you considered moving the log to the ACP?
