you should maybe add a cta buton on your welcome message.(instead of a link). Something with more action than a question like "Join our community today"

New homepage which pulls the latest 'x' threads from selected nodes and displays them in the article preview format.

The category widget pulls the children nodes from its parent and displays them as a widget,
The idea being I have a 'content management system' using stock xenforo articles.
