[help] how to get the canonical url in templates

Is there a method/helper somewhere that will give me the canonical url for a page? e.g., instead of http://xenforo.com/community/forums/xenforo-development-discussions.34/?order=title the canonical url would be http://xenforo.com/community/forums/xenforo-development-discussions.34/

I've tried searching for it in the code, but I can't seem to find anything. The only thing I could find is a redirector to send the user to the canonical url.

It's really up for you (or the developer) to define the canonical value. Where we use rel=canonical, we have that manually written into the templates.
