Having an issue with my URLs

I'm having an issue with my URLs and I'm not sure exactly how to fix it.

Right now, when going into a node on my forums the URL shows up similar to this:

www.website.com/forums/forums/node/

I can't figure out how to make it so the URL would be similar to:

www.website.com/forums/node/

I basically want to just remove that extra /forums/ in there - any idea how to go about that?

This is using the "Full Friendly URLs" feature, before that it should show up as www.website.com/forums/index.php?forums/node/

That's what I would do unless you have plans for your root url for something (like a blog or other pages)
You would need to edit your board options to reflect the updated URL.
Yeah that's the sad part is that the root folder is already used for a blog. Part of the blog links to our discussion forum (in the directory /forums).

Would there be a way to fix this through .htaccess?
