Having an issue with install on IIS

Hey guys,

I have virtual host setup on IIS so that forums.awebsite.com points to the folder /forums. The server should map the subdomain to the /forums folder to make it root.

I have gotten all the databases setup, the username and permissions for MySQL correct and loaded the Xenforo install into the /forums folder.

When you go to http://forums.awebsite.com/install and click begin installation the address switches to: http://forums.awebsite.com/forums/install/ and says click to begin installation again.

At first this seems to be a non issue, but when installation actually attempts to go forward it fails.

I know this is a bit hazy but I am stumped. I do not know IIS very well and what all is happening.

Are you sure you set the bindings for the root to the forum folder? Did you set the host headers correctly?

It was the permissions on data. I am just new to IIS permissions and in my FTP client it had them set correctly. I had to do it through my web host. Thank you for the response though!

Permissions on IIS are different. I'm sure you'll run into more permission problems after the forum is up.
