XF 2.0 Guide on setting up Home Page

Its been a long time since I toyed with Xenforo and with the new release I am going to try and jump back in. I thought I remembered a step by step guide of how to properly set up the forums to use the nodes as a home page. I did see a guide that showed how to use the nodes and discusses a portal but I was hoping for more guidance.

I am starting with a fresh install so I am trying to determine how to install and if I need to load into a subfolder or something.

What I am trying to accomplish is:

have the home tab when clicked its www.website.com but points to a page so that I can add the widgets and try to make a portal and then when Forums tab is clicked it goes to www.website.com/community

Do I need to upload the forums into a sub folder titled "community"

I apologize I am sure this must be something asked a lot but there is a lot of content to search through on here

To answer the question about subfolders, if you plan to use xenforo for your home page then installing to your web root is fine, generally you only need to install to a subfolder if you plan to use a different software for the home page.
