XF 1.2 Guest access question.

New to the forum switched from SMF, on my old forum guess could only see certain threads I guess you call them nodes here. That was to give intro and joining info etc.
Because we close off the rest of the forum to members only so is why only certian areas can have guest access.

I digress, I am trying to setup XF so a visiting guest not logged in will see two guess boards ( nodes ) only.
I tried limiting the guest to view and then went to permissions and allowed those board.
But still does not show for guest.

I am doing something wrong I am sure.

Like I said something I am doing has got to be simple I can let guess see the whole forum
and none, but cannot get one thread seen.

I am only adjusting settings here in these.

• User Group Permissions
• User Permissions
• Node Permissions

Is there somewhere else ?

You should wait more than 12 minutes to expect a reply...

Solution :
The mother node must be set and others under it removed accept those you wanted viewed.
The Subboards needed the main one enabled and the other disabled that solved it.

Sorry did not realize thay it wouldn't allow subs without parent adjusted.
All good now.
