google would never do that. ads on gmail have been unobstructive since day one. if you use pop/imap, you see no ad ever.

the company has stated it clearly that they want it to be the fastest and the stablest LSS out there.

they have no incentive to ruin it with ads. the links you land on are already likely to contain google adsense. that is the beauty of the whole system.

just wanted to post here. goo.gl now generates a short link with five characters. looks like they have run out of four character options!
