Gmail Registrations wrong Permission

Hi!
For every Gmail registration, the checkbox under "Send only to users who want to receive emails from an administrator" is not automaticlly selected after registration. As a result, I cannot send emails to them.

However, this checkbox should be selected! It is always set, except for Gmail registrations.





Please help.

I don't have an answer for you as to why this happens, but you can partially negate this with setting this option:

../admin.php?options/groups/usersAndRegistration/
If this is turned on, the checkbox will be 'checked' when a member joins through a Google Authentication screen. The end user can still elect to uncheck that box, but this at least sets it default for being checked upon registration.

And, be sure that the following box is also checked:
