Give some users a special badge (membership) - how to?

Hi,

I would like to give some users a special badge / membership.

(disregarding, how many points they have).

Is that possible?

If someone can tell me how, I am very thankful for it.

Is it just a user banner? Then just add them to a usergroup, either by user promotion or manually.

Then assign the banner in the usergroup settings.
